About Adrith Foundation

Set up in 2022, Adrith Foundation is a Section 8 Not-for-profit organisation of the Companies Act, 2013 founded by a team of two enterprising and passionate women Mrs.Sharmila Seshadri and Mrs. Padmaja Rao who have relentlessly engaged in social causes with compassion and empathy that aptly resonates with everything they do.

Our Programmes

Health

We conduct awareness talks on mental health, organ donation, and financial support for medical expenses for the needy. Provision of low vision aids is one of our flagship initiatives.

Women and Child

We focus on critical issues related to women’s health and wellness like talks on cervical cancer awareness and prevention. We also organise talks on breast cancer, menstrual hygiene and management for young girls. Another key focus for children is oragnising eye screening camps in schools and provision of low vision aids and assistive devices for the needy.

Education

Our focus is to boost emotional well being among children and foster supportive and sensitised group of parents, teachers and other stakeholders through our well crafted and curated counselling and well being programs in schools, colleges and community based organizations.

Community Outreach programmes

We work closely with the community to support and organise need based programs in environment, elderly, mental health sensitisation talks etc.

Program Highlights

Adrith Foundation launched its first project with an awareness program on eye, blood and organ donation. The event was presided over Mrs. Padmaja, Cofounder and Director- Operations, Adrith. Other key attendees from Adrith were Mrs.Sharmila, founder and Mr.Ganesh, PR & Media.
Mrs.Sharmila, introduced the speaker and spoke about Adrith’s vision and mission to spread its activities across geographies. Mr.Krishna a noted speaker and campaigner on eye donation introduced audience to various aspects of eye, blood and organ donation. Interspersed with humour and interesting anecdotes from his personal life, he underlined the importance of donating eyes, blood and organs. He quoted that as per statistics, Statistics show that there are 15 million blind people in India and out of this, 6.8 million people are suffering from corneal blindness. A pair of eyes can light up many lives and it brings a great sense of fulfillment.
Mr.Krishna stated that eye donation is purely voluntary and also dispelled myths surrounding eye, blood and organ donation. Mr.Bhupendra who had donated blood 200+ times was the highlight of the awareness program and was truly inspirational. Mr. Krishna called upon the participants to pledge to donate eyes and blood.
